You cannot make a claim just because you slip, trip or fall. At times it may be simply down to bad luck, a misplaced step or plain carelessness. You can however make a claim if you were injured and it was due to the fault, action or inaction of some other person. The classic case is of falling on a wet floor which was not adequately maintained, however there are many cases where individuals are injured because of the negligence of others.
